“There’s finally some gossip about me that’s true.” Alanna looked around the royal bedchamber; it looked different when it was being viewed from the bed, especially with so many clothes strewn about it.
Jonathan laughed. “It was true before the gossip started too. Back before you got your shield and were found out, I mean.”
“I suppose so.” Alanna pulled the sheet up and snuggled into the warm body beside her.
Thayet traced her hand down Alanna’s scar. “I don’t think any of them would have imagined it quite like this though.”
George chuckled and rested his hand on Thayet’s hip. “I don’t think any of us would’ve either, but the gods know I’m not complaining.”
