Title: Schadenfreude Rating: G Words: 100 Summary: Alex triumphs in the face of betrayal.
Alex knew the moment that Roger’s sword sliced through Alan’s shirt, that the younger boy would gain the upper-hand once more. During those long, electrifying seconds, Alex had watched through naked eyes as Alan’s secret finally became truth.
Cheater.
A truth that triggered a horrifying sense of betrayal, one that went beyond rivalrly in the last few years, and back to months of training together, studying together, and being young boys together.
Stranger.
Rejecting such pain, Alexander of Tirragen lifted his chin and smiled with triumph. At last; something that Alan resentfully was, and Alex—proudly—was not.
Liar.

Ooh, this is awesome! ♥ I love the descriptiveness!! And turnabout is fair play after all, it's a really neat perspective!
