Title: Alone Rating: PG Prompt: Walk the Line, #2 Category: 100 Words Word Count: 100 Summary: Taybur has no left or right. And is likely depressed.
Taybur shut the door quietly to the young king’s chambers and leaned against it, waiting for the boy’s cries to subside. Soon he would sleep soundly, with a child’s oblivion to the ever-increasing threats against his life. But he knew of the abounding conspiracies growing outside the palace walls, the Raka were on the cusp of rebellion and eager to topple the crazed Rittevon reign—six-year-old King Dunevon included. And then there were the regents, lusting after the boy’s title and power that would come from his spilled blood. Taybur sank to the floor, alone between the boy and death.

Aww, poor Taybur. This is a really fascinating look at him, and it's great because he's an interesting character that we don't get to see enough of. Nicely done!
