Title: Dawning Rating: G Prompt: #3 Same but different Category: 100 words Word count: 100 words Summary: Wyldon wakes up with a woman in his bed.
-
There is a woman in the bed beside him, like there has been hundreds of times before. He turns his head and sees brown hair and smooth skin, just like he always has. He runs a hand over her ribs and she murmurs slightly, moves away from the teasing, tickling touch.
Wyldon places a kiss between her shoulder blades.
The woman turns at his touch and he sees her face. She blinks, revealing long-lashed hazel eyes.
His head is pounding. He takes a sharp breath.
There is a women in the bed beside him, but she is not his wife.

Oh I love this spin on the prompt, and the simplicity of this really gives it a power of its own- I like how you used short, direct sentances and clear actions, the writing itself reads very Wyldon-esque. Definitely leaves you wondering what's about to happen next, which is part of what I love in short drabbles!

Excellent use of the prompt! I love that Wyldon doesn't seem to know any more about the situation than we do.

I like your somewhat literal but completely unexpected take on this prompt! Especially the ending--nervous Wyldon is great, and it the style sounded very like him. Good job!

This is wonderful - I love the confusion, the very barest beginnings of angst. I love how you've packed so much in 100 words!

The writing style was just superb. The last line, without a doubt, slays.
