Title: Shall We Dance? Rating: PG Prompt: Walk the line Category: 100 words Word count: 100 Summary: Thinking about preventing a murder is useless when it's already happening. *** The dance started with a sip of a drink; with the Duke suddenly ailing; with Lady Sandry’s panic; with their flight to Winding Circle. Or maybe, Pasco thinks, whirling through the steps of a steel-strong ward around the Duke’s sickbed, it started earlier. Maybe the rumours about Lord Franzen’s discontent intensified, and his harrier cousins should have told him, he should have noticed. Maybe it doesn’t matter, he thinks, and snaps his fingers, reversing his steps. Franzen wants to dance his father’s death in the streets of Summersea: but Pasco is dancing to a different tune, and he is stronger.

I absolutely adore this - Pasco is one of my favorite characters in the entire Emelan universe, and I love that you have made him so crucial to Vedris. Very lovely.

I'm not very familiar with the Circle series, but this was just written so finely that it called out.

May, I love where you went with this! I forget about Pasco, sometimes, but he's a great character and I like that he would be the one to come to the rescue here.
