Title: Purge Rating: R Prompt: Walk the Line Category: 100words Word count: 100 words Summary: He walks the line, and isn’t caught. WARNING FOR ADULT THEMES AND DISTURBING CONTENT.
- - -
He likes to purge their rank of the unworthy. It’s his personal service to the country, in a way. And in his position, it’s easier than one may think. He has access to their rooms, and to them. He knows the Palace well; which tunnels are disused, which cupboards fit a small body, which parts of the Forest have the softest dirt. When they disappear, he can fade into the background; sad and disinterested.
When Keladry of Mindelan starts, Gower knows she will be his most important purging yet.

Wow, that was unexpected! I like how you manage to make something that never ever would've occurred to me completely believable.

The fact that you gave Gower humanity beyond being a minor character - not so much compassion, but drive and conviction - is the real winner here. And your prose is perfect.
