Board Update

Goldenlake has seen a busy few months lately, with more than 50,000 posts and over 300 members! We’ve had a number of big events, plus many new and interesting discussions all over the board.
A number of interesting discussions have popped up in Tortall in the past few months, including Characters who never met their potential? and If Joren had lived.... The more artistic side of Tortall life was explored in threads such as Fashon in Tortall and Music and Dancing. The approach of Alternate Universe Week prompted threads including Kalasin as a page?, If George were still the rogue, Kel’s Alternatives, and Queen Alanna. Best Friends and other relationship were explored in threads such as George and Alanna and Coram & Alanna.
In Emelan there was a focus on the future in threads such as Vedris’s Heir, Duchess Sandry, and Briar’s future? There were also some interesting discussions regarding characters in Negative Portrayal, Favourite character?, Least favourite character?, and Characters you identify with.
The Provost’s Dog board was flooded with fascinating topics such as Growing Up in Provost’s House and Mediaeval vs. Renaissance. Character relationships were investigated in Beka/Rosto?, while Names gave everyone a chance to share their favourite Provost’s Dog character and place names.
There has been some discussion in Up and Coming about Maura of Dunlath’s book and Books about Numair. We also had a chance to share which of Tammy’s books we were most excited about, in threads such as Short stories – what would you like to see? and Which book are you looking forward to most?
In Writer’s Circle, Alternate Universe Week Ideas and Coming up with AUs were helpful threads leading up to Alternate Universe Week. A different side to writing was explored in threads such as Reviews, Betas & Cheerleaders, and Podfic.
April saw the opening of the Artist’s Corner board, which features not only the Artists’ Archives but also some interesting threads on Colours and characters?, our favourite Mediums for creating our fanart, and Sources of Inspiration?
Recently we also saw the end of SMACKDOWN and the following One Night Stand Weekend challenge, plus Alternate Universe Week. The first and second editions of Goldenlake’s Monthly Group Chat were a huge success, and the start of the annual Goldenlake Drabble Tournament has already been welcomed with much excitement!
Maybe once we'd have seen it during Smackdown!
