What are those bits that you find really tricky in a piece of art?

Hmm for me, it would have to be body proportions/gestures and background perspective. I sometimes use references for the body, but most of the time it's easier to learn if I draw from real life. Backgrounds are just hard in general.

I usually fail with body proportions too. My drawing skills seem to come and go as they feel like it, not unlike my icon-making and writing skills.

My poses often look strange. I'm also not good with adding color.

Mouths and Hands/Feet are very hard for me to do, I never seem to be able to get it right.

Hands are SUCH a pain to draw. I usually end up making them look like odd blocks/triangles without fingers. I know they're there.
And then I just don't draw faces--with the rare exception. I can never get them the way that I want, so I figure if they won't cooperate, I won't draw them.

I can't draw gestures and postures properly. Male faces are kinda a fail for me too ... I don't quite know why, I just can't get the right masculinity most of the time.

I've been trying to do some fanart to post up... I'm terrible at: Mouth Hands (I usually end up putting them behind that person's back/in pockets) Making that person look NORMAL... aka I'm pretty bad!
