I never actually wondered about Alanna's mother. But now that we have a name and such like, we need fic!

I got all excited because I remembered that Roald sponsored Seaver in First Test, and I thought it was because they were related... Conte/Tasride link? (which would make Jon and Alanna distant relatives......... LOL). But alas, on reread... it is not so  |

Ugh. Years and years ago, I read a fic about Alanna's mother where she faked her own death, ran away from home, and joined a Bazhir girl gang. Since then, the idea of Alanna's mom has kind of made me shudder. I think a Marinie fic is absolutely necessary, if only to purge that memory!
