I was listening to Squire on CD today, and it made me really sad for Cleon. When I first read Page I liked the notion of Cleon/Kel (though I actually was a strong Kel/Neal and Kel/Raoul shipper). When I read Squire I *hated* Kel/Cleon, so I was glad to see it fall apart. Now I'm thinking that Kel's falling out of love or whatever with Cleon was too easy. I think it's suckage that she never felt a pang of loss over their break-up.

Well, I think Kel's falling in love with Cleon was a bit too easy too. I mean, she never really thought of him in that way before. And then he kissed her, told her he liked her, etc, and slowly, y'know. I think it might have been a case of that he was there more than anything else.

Kel's relationship with Cleon was more about the fact that she liked being liked, I think. It's a bit unfair to Cleon, because it looks like he cared a lot more for her than she did for him, but I guess it happens that way sometimes.

I just wish even THAT would have been explored a bit more. I can understand liking someone because suddenly they force you to think about it - she festered over that kiss for quite some time and was wishing he would do it again before she even realized it, and I that. (I'm a very reluctant person like Kel when it comes to recognizing emotions). But I wish their breakup would've been more than one page of awkwardness and/or pain. Cleon really got the short stick, and I would have like to see more guilt on Kel's part.

I think it was too easy on Kel's part, and I can see that Tammy purposefully made it that way.. I mean, how long had it been since they had seen each other??

You say everything so much better than me. ^.^ I think it was more implicit, mostly cos there's less of a focus on Kel's romantic interests. She has her crushes and things, but this was sort of more the token romance of the series, and more than likely was doomed fromt he start.
