This is much like the similarly named thread in the Tortall forum (exactly like, actually). So I'm asking, if you were doing the movie, what songs would you use for what scenes? Or which composers would you hunt down? I adore Mychael Danna's stuff, so I think he'd be my pick ^.^

I always got some sort of a Mediterranean-ish feel off Emelan and surrounding countries (it's said to be hot, in Summersea it apparently doesn't snow), so I might lean away from a score featuring a giant, epic orchestra, unless for specific scenes.

I go with Thomas Newman for all things Emelan. He does some interesting stuff, and is incredibly non-traditional. While his lighter music wouldn't work as much for Tortall, I think he'd be great at creating themes for the Traders or the Mediterranean feel.
