Title: Yes
Rating: G
Prompt: 5. Destiny calls and I go, August 31_days
Summary: After Vedris's death, Tris must decide what she wants.
Tris flops onto a guest bed, she, Daja, and Briar would be staying here at the Duke's Citadel for a couple days, until they could get Sandry on track after Vedris's untimely death.
Tris shudders, all the emotions swirling around inside her.
Love... Franzen... Tris, snap out of it! Tris mentally scolds herself for such thoughts. She should be mourning and weeping for Vedris, not thinking about Franzen... lovely - stop! Tris shouts in her mind. Tris breathes in deeply, then out. She groans and lies down on the over-comfortable feather bed. I should be asleep right now. Tris grumbles, but instead, she swings her legs over the bed and slowly walks out onto her balcony. Suddenly, Tris feels content. The wind gusting in her hair, through her body, it all felt natural. Tris's eyes droop, she lies down on the cold marble balcony and sleeps well for once.
--
"Tris? Tris, where are you?"
Tris woke up abruptly, she moans, her hand pawing her cold, imprinted face from lying on the stone all night.
"Tris?" Franzen. Should I go out? Talk to him? Say what? Blow him off? Tris's mind whirred for what seemed like eternity packed into two seconds. Tris walks to her door, biting her lip, a new habit ever since her accident in Namorn. Wow, Tris groans. I sound just like most girls, thinking about boys and... ugh. This is fair vexing. Finally, (five seconds), Tris's mind calms down. Is this what you want, Tris? The part of her brain that is thinking normally asks.
Tris gnawed on her bottom lip, then she smiles broadly. "Yes." Tris says aloud and firm, to Franzen and herself.
