Hi guys! I'm IvyMutant, but go by Ivy or Diz. I'm 21, live in the UK and am unemployed, having recently graduted from university.
I've been reading Pierce for many years now, at least 10. I'm a big fan of Emelan, since that's what I had access to for the most part, it was available in our local library, and none of the Tortal stuff was. I have, however, found a omnibus of the Song of the Lioness, so I've read the beginnings of Tortall. I enjoyed it, but prefer Emelan, for sentimental reasons, and I love the idea of ambient mages, especially with academic mages in the same world.
So, that's a bit about me, hi guys! *waves hello*

Hello and welcome! I am Rojo and while I must confess I am more of a fan of the Tortall books, I agree the Emelan books are excellent.

Welcome aboard, Ivy! I'm Lanna. Congratulations on finishing University; Human Genetics has always fascinated me, so I'm a bit in awe of you. It's exciting to have another Emelan fan, too! I quite liked the world, but for me, it's the same in reverse in regards to sentimentality. The Song of the Lioness quartet was my first exposure to Tammy's writing, and it's stuck like nobody's business. Because this is an obligatory question for me that I am eternally asking: do you have any favorite character?

Toss up between Daja and Tris, but given how Daja got treated in Will of the Empress (one or two rather random character traits, to me, anyway) whereas Tris's made more sense, so gonna go with Tris.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Hope to keep hanging around, discussing and hopefully not pissing people off with long rambling, vaguely ranty at times, posts.
