What are your favourite quotes from the Tortall series?
Got to be the daffodil quote for me -
“I suppose he could have changed," Neal said dryly. "I myself have noticed my growing resemblance to a daffodil." The other pages snorted.
Kel eyed her friend. "You do look yellow around the edges," she told him, her face quite serious. "I hadn’t wanted to bring it up."
"We daffodils like to have things brought up," Neal said, slinging an arm around her shoulders. "It reminds us of spring.”

Pretty much everything Neal says comes under "favourite quote". I also love a lot of the banter between Lord Raoul and Third Company. Most of my favourite quotes come from POTS to be honest, but its midnight and I haven't read them in a while. When my brain kicks back in I'll be back to post them . In the meantime, one of (in my opinion) the best moments is Neal confronting the Innkeeper that owned Tobe about the injuries he inflicted and pulling rank on him to get his point across. The Best.

Rosie stole my favourite quote, but a close runner up for me is this exchange from the end of Lady Knight: Wyldon took a step closer to her, cupped her head in both hands, and kissed her gently on the forehead. "You are a true knight, Keladry of Mindelan," he told her. "I am honoured to know you." Though I agree with mageprincess - pretty much everything Neal says, and the banter between Raoul and Third Company, are all excellent.

I haven’t read PoTS in a long time, but I think it’s up there for quotes. The only one I remember is Wyldon’s ‘You’re tilt-silly, Mindelan’, because it made me laugh, and the daffodil quote. And Neal’s poems to Yuki’s eyebrow

One of my favorites is this comment from Raoul: "When people say a knight's job is all glory, I laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Often I can stop laughing before they edge away and talk about soothing drinks." POTS has most of my favorite quotes for sure.

"I live in hope, as the priest said to the priestess." (Neal, Page) - I find myself saying this one in my life, which earns strange looks from whomever I'm talking to. LOL. But I like this kind of behind-the-scenes world-building. Just what is the story or history he's referring to?

"My presence will do wonders for the flowers!" "So does manure." Always a classic

In real life, I often use "what's that got to do with the price of peas in Persopolis" or (frequently with my friends) "Good question. Next question."
