Title: In allodium Rating: PG Words: 19 Summary: Possession and ownership. Briar/Evvy, quite post-canon. Notes: prompt was “myself”. Companion to No Bold Villain, I guess.
In the end, she comes to him less a lover and more an organ reclaimed – his heart; his liver.

This is a really interesting way of looking at B/E. It ties with Briar somehow; there's something earthy and coldly practical about a person being like a liver that might only fit Daja, of all the other three kids.
I don't know how to explain it. It's raw, and it's almost impersonal. It says something about their relationship at this stage of the game.

Ty! Re the liver -- I actually picked liver for its classical association with anger... Spoiler ... in light of all Briar's feelings~ when he thinks Evvy's dead in Gyonxe.
