Title: Happily Ever After
Rating: PG
Prompt: Happily Ever After
Summary: I'm such a procrastinator, jeez. In the midst of homework (in which I also procrastinated), I completely forgot about MPPC TT_TT Forgive me, this was rushed. Although, I will admit that I think the scene is sweet because it was inspired by my baby niece.

“Look at her, Kel.” Dom grinned. “She's trying so hard.”
Kel sat cross-legged on the rug. She glanced at him with a smile. Dom sat across from her, fingers out for support. Between them, an infant struggled to her feet. Her big blue eyes concentrated on the fingers in front of her as she pulled herself up from the floor.
Dom made faces at the baby. He scrunched his nose, then stretched his face with one hand. That earned him a fit of giggles from his target audience.
“Don't do that.” Kel held back a laugh. “She's going to start doing it too.”
“Oh, c'mon, mama.” Dom took the child in his arms and turned her around to face Kel. He poked her cheek. “It's funny. Right Lena?”
Ilena wasn't paying attention. She was busy scrunching her nose at her mother.
Kel rested her face on her hand. “See? Now, she's doing it too. The nursemaids are going to start thinking there's something wrong with her face.”
“They're big worrywarts anyway. It's just face exercise.”
Kel raised an eyebrow. “Is it now? Face exercise?”
“But of course. She needs all the exercise she can get at this age. Being a baby and all.” Dom told her.
“Oh?” Kel straightened up. “And since when did you become an expert on babies?”
He grinned at her. “But you can see it Kel. She wants to walk so bad. Any day now and she'll be taking her first steps.”
“Face exercise has nothing to do with that.”
Dom looked at his child. “She's such a spoilsport sometimes, isn't she?”
Kel snorted. She held out her hands for Dom to hand his charge over. When he did, Kel brought their faces together. “He's teaching you bad habits.” She told her baby.
Ilena made a gleeful cooing noise at her mother, reaching out to touch Kel's eyes. Dom found his new seat next to Kel as she did. He rested his chin on Kel's shoulder and smiled at their daughter. “I know. I feel the same way about her too.”
