Lady Knight Sabine of Macayhill and Princehold,

Former Senior Guardsman Mattes Tunstall passed quietly into the Peaceful Realms last night, in his sleep. The appointed healer indicates that he was weakened from the infection and shock he suffered when he was apprehended, despite immediate medical attention. It appears that he has written you many letters, though for some reason or other he has chosen not to send them. Most of his belongings were seized by the Crown; what little he did have will become property of the Provost’s Guard.

However, it was decided that the letters addressed to you ought to be sent to you, to do what you will with them. They are attached in this package.

Omg this was so sad!

Stylistically speaking outside of the part of me that is sorrowful, I loved how this final communication came from an outsider.

This letter is so formal/sad, it's refreshing to hear about Tunstall's death in that way.
