Is there a mention of Yazmin post-Magic Steps, i.e. in WotE or even any of the other CO books? I can't remember there being one, but I thought I'd check.

I'm currently rereading WotE and she hasn't been mentioned. There was one scene set in the Citadel where she mentioned Vedris and Erdogun both being present at breakfast, but not Yazmin.

Do we have any information on what Geoffrey of Meron has been up to?

Stupid question here, but does Tortall-verse actually use clocks as a way of telling time, and if so, do people say things like 'four o'clock', or do they say 'two hours past dawn'?

I don't recall them mentioning either clocks or sundials. At the palace they use the bells, but I don't know what they use elsewhere. They do seem to use the sun a lot when they're on campaign, but I'm not sure about non-knights.
I've always thought they might use candles that show the passing of time, but I have no canon evidence of that!

Thanks, Kyp! Yeah, I don't recall any times being mentioned in Trickster either.

I think it's candles that mark time, at least indoors and at the palace. I think they're mentioned in Wild Magic when Daine's talking to some of her animal friends at Pirate's Swoop. Let me check.
Yep. There it is.
I have no idea if they bring some when traveling or what knights on the road use.

Evin/Miri is a super common pairing in fics. Is it also canon/quasi-canon?

Evin/Miri is a super common pairing in fics. Is it also canon/quasi-canon? I haven't found anything in the Quasi-Canon area ( on fiefgoldenlake.com, here), and as far as I remember there was nothing in TIQ calling them a couple. Doesn't rule it out, admittedly, there may be some information somewhere else on them. Also, unrelated, I've just noticed that the main site is all new looking and shiny, woohoo

Does anyone happen to have a canon reference handy--for what the Brightly Burning One and the Night One were supposed to do?

Does anyone happen to have a canon reference handy--for what the Brightly Burning One and the Night One were supposed to do? “We have another legend – the Bazhir have many legends – that says one day we will be free of the call of the City. It says two gods, the Night One and the Burning-Brightly One, will go into the City to battle with the immortals there.” Just defeat those creepy peeps, I guess!

How long after Kel becomes a squire is the trial of Lalasa's kidnappers?

According to the date marking in Squire, Lalasa's kidnapper's trial is partway through Kel's first year. She should have been a squire around 6 months. There's someone dedicated to updating the Tortallan timeline on the TPWiki, so you may want to confirm there.

I can't remember how old the circle are - I want to say ten (at the beginning of CoM) but that seems too young. Twelve? And how old are they during WotE? Eighteen, yes?

I think it was 10 at the beginning of CoM (*maybe* 11 by the end?), 14 in CO and 18 in WotE - but I'm not positive about the age for CO.

That'll do, then. Thanks. They just seem so young in retrospect!

They do, but I think that's part of the story and their bonding, that they're so young.

So, I have a couple of questions, all because I can't find what I did with my copy of WotE.
1. How old is Gudruny when she meets Sandry? 2. Do we ever get the names, ages, and genders of her kids? (She only has two, right?)
Edited to add: also, if anyone has descriptions for Gudruny and her kids, that'd be awesome.

Ankhiale: WoTE says she's about thirty. She "looked as if she'd been lovely as a girl", has coarse light brown (described as blondish-brown on the next page) hair "tumbling out of its pins" and dark eyes. Nose looks as if it's been broken once, deep lines around nose and mouth. I can't find a mention of their gender anywhere. And her husband Halmar is "wiry".

Does anyone remember what happened to Zek, the marmoset Daine had in Emperor Mage? She brought him to Tortall. Aly sees him and a bunch of marmoset babies in her vision of Sarra's "christening" in Trickster's Choice.

Is the fief Halleburn, or anyone by the same (or a very similar) name mentioned anywhere other than the PD series?

Does anyone remember what happened to Yorgiry's House after CF? Was it saved or did it burn down and have to be rebuilt, and if so, what about Olennika and her staff? And does it have wards for patients after the fire?

Yorgiry's House burned; we see Nia helping to repair it at the very end of Cold Fire. Olennika was, iirc, seen briefly running the soup kitchen. IIRC, this is about five months after the hospital was torched. No mention of wards for patients; I don't recall it being mentioned more than in passing at all in WotE.
