Kel had no more tears left to cry.
It was almost as heart-breaking as seeing his widow, so strong and emotionally tough, clinging to their youngest daughter.
When they dropped the first clump of dirt onto the coffin, a horse’s whinny – was it Heart? – surprised the bystanders out of their memories.
She took Owen’s hand in hers, squeezing it upon the realization that he wept openly, as well. “I can’t believe he’s gone,” she murmured. Even though she knew it couldn’t be true, there was a part of her that thought Lord Wyldon would live forever.
Tears burned in Kel’s eyes, but she gave up trying to hold them back.

Gahhh... now you've gone and made me cry!!! Beautiful and so, so sad. I can totally imagine this happening (but it never will, really, because Wyldon is like Duke G - they're just going to live forever )
