Series: An Honest Living Event: 110 Word Reverse Hurdles Word Count: 110 Title: Exposition Rating: PG, mention of fighting Summary: In which we learn of the characters, and sense the impending change. I don't recommend reading this back to front. Loosely related to Family and Maudlin Scanrans. New Scanrans, of the disreputable variety. One man, two women. His two women, she corrected. But yet not his. Their own, certainly, but most certainly his. And a fight. An unfair fight, with one of them—the man, or the tall woman—and… Yes! Another man, who’d given her a rather nasty head wound. And taken three hours of her life, apparently. Her stomach drops and she thinks, He had a knife, and I didn’t. What sort of doxie am I? she asks, cursing herself. A woman’s laughter and another fight, more playful, and the blade is wrestled out of her hand, for the first and the last time.

Very nice! The beginning line is certainly very intriguing.
