Title: Court Rating: PG Word Count: 137 words Pairing: Neal/Owen Round/Fight: 1/E Summary: Owen comes before the Court.
Neal watches Owen as he enters the room. The Court is packed with nobles and commoners alike, but it is silent as Owen – the disgraced Baron of Jesslaw, Neal amends himself – walks forward and takes a seat next to his lawyer. His tearful wife reaches across to him, squeezing his hand.
Suddenly there is a cry from the back of the hall. “Kill the scum,” a woman screeches, “may he rot in the Black God’s hell for his crimes”. Guards rush forward, escorting the woman from the Court, but it is too late and pandemonium erupts.
Neal is almost oblivious to the chaos, though, as he looks down and catches those familiar – defiant - brown eyes.
Suddenly, the moment is broken and Neal reaches forward, banging his gavel loudly. “This Court will come to order,” he roars.

Oooh… The idea of Neal as Lord Magistrate is fascinating. I love this little snippet, but now I have so many questions and just want to know what happens next!
