Title: Questions Rating: PG Word Count: 139 Pairing: Neal/Owen Fight: 1/E Summary: Owen doesn’t realize he’s asking questions, and he certainly doesn’t realize how Neal would answer them.
His eyebrows are like question marks. Slightly-flattened, sideways question marks that hover over light grey eyes. It makes every statement, no matter how emphatically declared, seem like a question to me.
“I’m in love with Margarry?”
“We’re to be married on Beltane?”
“You’ll be there, of course?”
I don’t answer them as if they’re questions, though. As much as I’d like to reply with questions of my own.
Is she the only one you could care for?
Do you have to be?
Do you think I’d miss this kind of thing, even if it causes a surprising amount of… discomfort?
Instead, I encourage him. Of course he’s doing the right thing. Of course they’ll live happily ever after. Of course I’ll stand as his best man, since I’m his closest male friend.
Does it have to be just friendship?

This is awesome - I love the way you play with the questions and how much Neal's question responses reveal.

Oooh, this is fascinating. Like Rosie said, I love how much Neal’s questions reveal. And that Neal encourages Owen anyway.
