Title: A Constant Strain on Reason Rating: PG Wordcount: 119 Pairing: Jon/Kel Round: 1/F Summary: He can't stop thinking of her.
-
This is what happens suddenly: he relishes Keladry's quiet grace, the stillness she holds, the silence inside her that seems to contain the answer to what troubles him. Alanna and Thayet both have cores of iron and fire, but Keladry, this other warrior-willed female, her drive is silk and steel.
Stop thinking about her, he tells himself, this strong girl-woman a little more than half his age and with so much more strength.
He realizes that he doesn't know much about her. All he knows is that she is a skilled commander, will be a better one as her experience grows, and her drive impresses and intimidates men like Wyldon of Cavall.
She dances in his thoughts.

"she dances in his thoughts"
What a neat phrase, considering that Kel doesn't often dance, but to Jon's impassioned mind, she does.
