Title: Too Darn Hot
Rating: R
Length: 261 words
Competitor: Baird
Round/Fight: 1/D
Summary: The only thing better than swimming on a hot day is playing with ice. (because it isn't SMACKDOWN without smut.)
It was the worst heat wave Corus had seen in fifteen years, according to the scholars at the Royal University. Most of the knights managed to find work on the northern border, but Kel was stuck in the capital, wearing as little as possible as she stretched out on her sweat-soaked sheets. She remained as still as possible, patiently waiting with her eyes closed for a breeze that would not come.
She was surprised by the feel of something cold – freezing – against the top of her thigh. Water trickled down to the back of her leg and she whimpered. “Where did you find ice?” she asked, opening her eyes and peering through lashes as he ran the large cube up her leg and up to her exposed stomach. There was no ice left in Corus, she knew. The last supply had been used several days before.
“It’s the perk to being the Chief Healer,” Baird said, smiling wickedly as he ran the cube of ice over her torso. It melted against her hot flesh, rivulets running down her sides. “We have to keep ice on hand for the simpler injuries,” he murmured, pressing his lips to her abdomen and flicking his tongue out to lick the water.
“This is sheer bliss,” Kel murmured.
“No, I’ll show you blissful,” he replied with a wicked smile. He broke off a piece of ice and placed it in his mouth, then positioned himself between her legs.
And Kel realized, closing her eyes again and moaning, that he was wrong. This was better than bliss.
