Title: Surprise Rating: PG-13 Length: 145 Competitor: Baird Round/Fight: 1/D Summary: Wyldon goes to give a surprise, and gets one instead. Part of the 'New Hope Proxy' drabble series.
- - -
Wyldon arrives at New Hope late at night, thanks to several squads of restless Scanrans. Telling the guards not to bother telling the lady knight of his arrival, he bounds up the stairs to headquarters, eager to see the surprise on her face when he finds her.
Opening the door to her room, he can’t help but smile. Somehow, she knew he was here. Kel doesn’t see him enter, she can’t, because she’s blindfolded, the scarlet silk making her skin seem even paler in the candlelight. Her bare body is just as beautiful as he remembers it, all soft curves and sinewy muscle.
Hearing the door open, she smiles, and her full lips make him want to stride over to the bed and kiss her senseless. But before he can do so, she speaks shyly, the two words making him freeze in shock. “Your Grace?”

Eeeek! Am so excited to get the other half of this series!
Poor Wyldon, but, on the flip side, lucky Baird.

There in lies the disadvantage of blindfolds... Poor Wyldon

OMG, Isha, I should exalt you a thousand times. This is the first Baird-fic I've been able to read, and I'm currently at work. My boss came over to my desk and laughed at me because I was staring at the screen in complete delighted-but-also-horrified shock, hand over my mouth. And I couldn't tell him why.
