Title: Avaratia Rating: PG Length: 111 words Competitor: Baird Round/Fight: 1/D Summary: Greed. Baird likes to keep Kel to himself.
It takes Wyldon a long time to notice the change – he has other things in mind, like the running of a fort and the managing of a war – but over time he begins to notice that when Keladry is called to Fort Mastiff for reporting, the Duke finds reasons to have her come to the infirmary. First it’s an annual check-up – one of those things Wyldon understands is necessary for women. Then he says she’s looking fatigued, or she appears to have a cold, or he wants to ask her questions about his son’s work.
Wyldon does not know what to make of it, though he’s irked at the Duke’s greed.

*wide-eyed* I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the title, but this was a lovely manifestation!

Omg, reading this made me so squeeful I forgot to breathe for a moment there. The last two lines are just fabulous. And I love that Baird isn't the only greedy one too.

There will be bloodshed next! I love how subtle Baird is being about all his Kel-wanting.
