Title: Healing Touch Rating: G Length: 128 words Competitor: Baird Round/Fight: 1/D Summary: She resists healing because others need it more, but Baird doesn’t agree.
“This winter weather will be the death of me,” Kel said wearily, collapsing at the large table in the headquarters at New Hope. “We can handle the raiders, we handle’s the killing devices, for Mithros’s sake. But I’m tired of chapped lips and cracked hands. My feet bleed, and it’s because of this dry cold.”
Baird smiled weakly. “My son can fix that, if I’m not mistaken.”
She shook her head. “I like to keep his magic fresh to help the refugees and soldiers.”
“Mine is fresh,” he said. He leaned down, lifting her chin gently. When his lips touched hers, she could feel his Gift soothing her chapped lips. He pulled away, smiling.
Kel grinned up at him. “Are you going to kiss my feet next, Baird?”

I can't help but imagine all magic only transferrable via mouth-to-extremity contact.
