Title: Hotblood Rating: Pg-13 Length: 161 Competitor: Faleron Round/Fight: 2/A Summary: Sad shiz.
…
Faleron never speaks about what happened to him during the Scanran war, except when he’s sleep. Sometimes when Gainel abandons him he wakes up screaming at the darker pieces of his psyche – but worse, when he is awake, his eyes glaze over, and his body is stolen, face frozen with a horror and sorrow she can’t comprehend, much less touch, and she finds herself holding him, willing him back to her, saying, over and over again, ‘I’m here Faleron. I’m here. Fal, it’s me Kel. I’m here.’ But then one day it stops, altogether, and he finds her, his eyes filled with a fierce intensity to match the way he pulls her clothes off, makes love to her with a forcefulness that takes her breath away, say, laughing, ‘What’s gotten into you?’ ‘I’m burning, Kel.’ And his answer is odd and illogical, but at the time she thinks but then, love is. It is an instant that comes to haunt her.

This is intriguing! And once again, I love how you included his experience with war.
