Title: Owen's Gift <highly original, I know>
Rating : PG
Prompt: #15, Kiss
Summary: Owen gives Kel an interesting Midwinter gift, and receives a lesson in turn. It takes place, durring Kel's second year as a page.
Notes: My first Fan-Fic, so tell me how I can make it better. It's a bit short.
It was the fourth day of the Midwinter festival. Kel was walking back to her rooms, after exchanging gifts with her friends, when suddenly she heard someone behind her. "Hey, Kel! Wait up!" She stopped and turned around to see Owen running after her. "I forgot to give you your Midwinter gift!" He wailed, grabbing her arm and dragging her intro a secluded corner.
"Owen it's okay you didn't have to g-" Kel's eyes widened in shock as Owen stood on tip-toe, and kissed her on the mouth! "Goddess's tears, what did you do that for?" Owen looked at the ground blushing.
"Neal told me girls liked kisses," he mumbled staring at the ground.
"Did you tell him it was me you intended to kiss?" He shook his head, shamefaced. "Most girls like kisses. I'm not most girls, remember? And anyways, why would you want to kiss me?"
"You're the best in your year at fighting and everything, even though you're a girl! And you're kind and honorable, just like the knights in stories are supposed to be? And you're pretty!" Kel shook her head. Owen had a crush on her. Of all people! "And so i didn't know what to get you for Midwinter, so I asked Neal what girls liked, since he's older and has sisters and stuff and first he said ribbons and jewelry and all the usual girl stuff, but then he said girls liked to be kissed and since I know you don't like all that other stuff, I thought I'd do that instead!" He looked like he was about to cry. "But you didn't like it!"
Kel groaned internally. How to handle this without hurting Owen's feelings? "Owen, I liked it fine. Next year though, just get me sweets or something like everyone else, okay?" He nodded. "Now, go back to you room so you don't miss the bell and get in trouble with My Lord." She bent down and kissed him quickly on the forehead. "Go!". Owen went, skipping and humming to himself.
Kel sighed and shook her head, continuing to head back to her room. "Please Goddess, let him get over his crush quickly," she prayed once she got to her room. "Please?"
