Title: Sword in Stone Rating: G Length: 197 words Summary: Lightning is freed by a young boy. Author's Notes: A slight crossover, with a heavy dose of crack. Oneshot, and I'm hoping to have actual stuff by the end of the week The sword sits in stone, amongst a mass of swirling signs. The boy groans and stamps his feet, aggravated and lost. He mutters rebelliously as he walks towards the sword, shining dully with the half light present in the catacombs. His fingers grasp the hilt, and he steadies himself, shifting his weight, fingertips echoing many before, curious and desperate. He leans back on his leg and heaves at the sword, and unlike all of the other challengers through the ages, from lady knight to king to merchant’s sons, fingers holding, grasping and faces reflected in the shine, the sword comes loose and the Gate cracks open. He picks up the sword, testing its weight and holding it aloft in front of him. The boy’s mood sours as he remembers that this sword is supposed to be a replacement for his foster brother’s, not his, and his face glimmers with want and desire for something so fine. The misty light takes on an orange glow, filtered through cracks of dust, and the boy scrambles back up the stairs, holding the sword in front of him. Reflected in the sword amongst the boy’s pale face, sapphire eyes gleam coldly.

Thanks guys I think the creepiness comes from the Roger hints, but I don't know how subtle that was I was planning a massive 'Tortall is Camelot' thing, but I don't have enough time.
