Just an FYI - I'm going to be at the Stow Ohio book-signing tomorrow (Apr 28), and I wanted to throw it out to any who might be there.
So, ah - I'll probably be the oldest non-parent in the crowd, and I have slightly-longer-than-shoulder-length brown hair and I'm 5'3" and I'll probably be wearing a red t-shirt of The Flash. So - ah - if you see me and want to chat, please feel free!
I'd love to meet any Goldenlakers out there - I know we have a strong Ohio contingent here. ;D

We need t-shirts. Or something to print onto an iron-on thing.
(Or, at signings, everyone could agree to wear lime green. Or hawaiian shirts. Or crocodile costumes. Or something equally silly and noticeable.
Sadly, Ohio is a few hours too far away for me to make it. (is she ever coming to Virginia?))

I vote for crocodile costumes. If she does come to Virginia and I have advance notice, I might come meet you there. I have lots of friends to visit in the area to make the distance worthwhile! (er, more than only you, I mean! wow, that sounded rude!)

Just for that I'll make sure you get directions that require you to drive down Broad Street. On game day. <3

Of course! And lots of people wearing buckeye necklaces and scarlet and grey sweater-vests. And don't forget the couches and cars occasionally set on fire....

WHOO LORDY MAMA COUNT ME IN! (Contrary to popular belief it was not the fire and explosions that convinced me. Those always look better on tv tan irl.)

It must've been the crazy sweater-vest wearing. Though, to be fair, I should point out that more people probably dress up as Woody Hayes than Coach Tressel....
We've eventually got to go to a signing together, though, Candice - and it's probably easier now than when you were on the west coast! ^__^

Am I allowed to demand to be picked up along the way? Yes, no? Too bad, I would anyway, probably. =P
YES, I am going tonight! Watch for green capris and a green vest over a white kami, brown shoes, possibly a brown hat and RED HAIR*.
*For the record, when I first red the Lioness books, I was convinced that I should play Alanna should there be a movie because I have curly red hair and wear glasses that would easily be exchanged for purple contacts. Although, at 5'6", I am probably too tall... *sniff*

(is she ever coming to Virginia?) Try living in Canada anywhere outside of Toronto. Me: "Ooooh, book tour! Oooh, concert! Coming to Canada?" Source of Information: "Toronto." Me: "Yes, that's lovely. Anywhere else?" Source: "Toronto." Me: "Okay. Anywhere else besides Toronto?" Source: "Montre... No. Toronto."

It was AWESOME!! The questions were a lot different from what I've heard in the past (usually it's stuff like "why didn't Jon and Alanna and up together?" and "why did Daine take so long to marry Numair?") and it was a lot more informative about Tammy's writing process. And, of course, meeting up with Rojo and chocolatefridays was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive. ^___^ They're both super-friendly and adorable! And Tammy said the magic words for me: Tortall Companion Book, coming in the near(ish) future. Oh! And Tammy was saying something to Rojo and me about all the random questions Random Buzzers came up with, and I'm pretty sure she was mainly talking about YOU, Kat.

She was just talking about how the timeline helped her with all those questions - she kind of looked overwhelmed. And, umm... NO! Though I did have the ItHotG edition with Roger on the cover, and a few people did take a gander at him...

I have a feeling we, collectively, as a board, helped overwhelm her. Sorry, Tammy! It's not very often we get to ask questions in a public forum and, yeah.

I didn't record it, like I did one of the times I saw her - so I can't give a full account. But I took a couple of notes when she said things relevant to discussions here or made comments about the books.
I'll sort through when I can - not a heck of a lot, since most of the questions were about her becoming a writer and how she does her work.

Not that I recall.
There is, however, I book encompassed of short stories all by Tamora Pierce that is suppose to come out!
In my copy of Melting Stones, she wrote "Well met and in good company!" I have a feeling that was a direct reforence toward you because of the timeline.

I almost forgot about the short story book! I"m *so* excited about that - and didn't she bring that up when I asked about a future Kara & Kourrem story? I think we were BOTH in good company. She called me "She of the numerical orderliness" in one of my books. *grin*
