Hey guys! I "left" in october when my Grandma died, we were really close and I've been pretty much "offline" since then. But I'm starting to feel like myself again, and I'm back! But its been so long that I think I might head over to the welcome wagon and reintroduce myself.

Due to a wicked huge spring snowstorm here, the power has been knocked out and that means no internet access. The only place in the city with heat and hot water is the university, where most classes are cancelled anyway, so my only online time until the power situation is rectified will happen for the brief time I am in this building. |

Glad to see that you haven't yet backed down in the face of adversity, Nicki!  As for me, the electricity (and heaters!!!) are up and running again! I can now safely go home without having to wear fifteen layers and eight blankets (thank God for Snuggies!) This means that my "absence" is over.  Woo hoo! |

My dad is hosting a speaker whose coming in on Monday and we're taking him to dinner, and on Tuesday and Wednesday he's hosting events at our house, so I have to be done my homework by 7, meaning no time to go online. So if you see me, tell me to go do my homework! |

I'm hitting the road tomorrow - going to be heading to England for three weeks. So my online time will be a little sketchy, depending on activities.
(but on the bright side, it let me dump the last three 31_days fics all at once! Yay!)
I'll be back for good on May 19th.

Well, I suppose I should explain my erratic presence: I joined in the summer, then quite altogether due to the demands of school (then kinda forgot about it), then recently rediscovered the joys of this site. But then I wasn't on for a week or two, because I had to start studying for an AP exam. That was today, and as a reward I let myself go on! I have another AP Wednesday and then eventually school finals, so the next 2 or so weeks may be erratic for me, but after that if my summer remains laid back, I should be a good little Goldenlake-ee.

I finally finished finals, so I should be a bit more reliable. But eh, maybe not, because this will be a busy summer. So I'll come and go, but just know that I haven't forgotten you guys!

I'm not sure if I'm a returnee or newly showing up or what, but I have this horrible tendency to retreat into my internet shell when I am busy with other things elsewhere, but summer break is coming up and I am renewing my dedication to being a part of this site and TKO, because every time Q talks about her dedication to doing good things on TKO, I start to feel bad.

I will be at a school conference for the next 4 days... I'll be getting thoroughly introduced to studying to be a CA. So, I'll be back Wednesday night!
ETA: now I'll be gone for 8 or 9 days to be on my HP trip in Orlando!
