Title: The Sound of Peace

Summary: Lark and Rosethorn enjoy some downtime between groups of kids. (Pre-Magic in the Weaving.)
Notes: Another memedrabble. Lark/Rosethorn, 100 words.
"Do you hear that?" Rosie asks, wrapping her arm around Lark's waist.
They're cool in the shade of the house, the day warm and her garden happy. Lark idly coaxes a straggling thread on their blanket back into place as she asks, "Mmm, did I miss something?"
"That, my dear, is the sound of a blessedly empty cottage."
"Oh?" Lark prompts, then presses a slow, easy kiss to Rosie's lips.
Breaking away – reluctantly, but she does need to breathe – she continues, "It sounds like peace."
They both miss having charges, though Rosie won't admit it. This, though; she loves this.
