Title: Baby Blessings Rating: PG Word Count: 37 Summary: Thayet prays for her baby to be blessed in her own way. Notes: Part IX of my Thayet set. Inspired by mistrali’s prompt “Bless.” Baby Blessings Thayet stood beside her husband, her firstborn in her arms, before a silent temple crowd as priests appealed to Mithros to bless young Roald, praying in her heart for the Four Horse Lords to guide her son.

Oh, yes, I can so imagine Thayet doing this!

mistrali, thank you so much for commenting! I'm so glad that you could totally imagine Thayet doing this, since I wanted to show Thayet being loyal and connected to her K'miri heritage in a way that is very private and personal to her that others might never pick up on but that is still very meaningful. It was nice to be able to celebrate her link to K'miri culture in this moment and it warmed my heart to have her blessing little Roald in her own way rather than just deferring to the Mithran priests in the Tortallan fashion.
