With the release of Book One of The Numair Chronicles in February 2018, the Tortall Spoiler Policy is being updated, effective immediately.
A new subforum for the The Numair Chronicles has been created. ALL discussion in relation to any book in The Numair Chronicles must be contained within this new subforum. Discussions of how the books of The Numair Chronicles relate to the other books or events in the Tortall universe must also be contained within the new subforum.
No discussion about The Numair Chronicles is currently allowed in the general Tortall forum.
A new subforum has also been set up under the Fanworks forum for any fanfiction and fanart relating to The Numair Chronicles. ALL fanfiction and fanart relating to any book in The Numair Chronicles must be contained within this new subforum.
All threads in the discussion subforum that contain spoilers (any spoilers) must be titled "SPOILERS: Thread Title". This applies for character discussion, plot discussion, general squee and impressions. For threads with "SPOILER" in the title, please try to keep the title itself as spoiler-free as possible (without being so generic/vague as to give no indication of what the thread topic is).
For major spoilers (i.e. major plot or character developments, reveals or twists), please use the spoiler tag. (It's the insert spoiler button on the far right of the reply box, next to the insert smiley, or check out Coding 101 to code it.)
If you are not sure whether something is a major spoiler or not, use the spoiler tag to be on the safe side.
The word "Spoilers" is not required in the title for fanfiction or fanart posted in that subforum, however, it should be flagged in the warnings or author's notes sections of the fic/art header in the main post. All members please be aware that any and all fics or art posted in the fanfiction and fanart subforum may contain spoilers.
For those of you who will not be reading the books of The Numair Chronicles immediately upon release, please be aware that you may stumble across minor (and possibly major) spoilers in Recent Posts/Recent Threads for the next few weeks.
Any questions or concerns about the spoiler policy, please contact one of the Goldenlake moderators.
Most importantly though, enjoy The Numair Chronicles!
