I'm so happy and relieved and proud of my fellow Aussies.

Annnnd Parliament voted today to amend the Marriage Act to legalise marriage equality! Still needs the Royal Assent, but the Attorney-General has released a statement saying the law will come into force on Saturday 9 December!!!!!!

I'm super excited because my Uncles had decided that they will be getting married in February. They've been together for over 30 years so I'm thrilled that they finally get to marry, especially since one of them is terminally ill

Can someone tell me what the hell I'm doing here?
