Title: Mellow Rating: PG Word Count: 199 Pairing: Sandry/Evvy Summary (and any Warnings): Evvy finds a willing subject to help perfect her craft. Notes: Set ~eight years after canon/WotE. I like the idea of Evvy being a novice of the Water Temple in this one.
“Some points are more…receptive than others,” Evvy said, her voice coming from somewhere overhead. Sandry managed to keep her eyes closed, and only flinched slightly as the young novice placed a warm stone upon her forehead.
The next stone found its place in the hollow of her throat. The two points were not unpleasantly warm, but it was a strange sensation. She felt the tips of Evvy’s fingers brush her skin as she made adjustments to the positions. With her eyes closed and the two stones holding her attention, she could almost drift into sleep.
Evvy’s thumb stroked along her temple, brushing an errant curl of hair away from her cheek. “Well? What do you think?” she asked, voice soft.
“I think I’m too relaxed to think,” Sandry murmured.
She hadn’t even realised that Evvy had continued to stroke her temple until she drew away again. The loss of touch was a strange counterpoint to the constant warmth upon her brow and at the base of her throat. She wanted Evvy’s sure, gentle fingers to touch her again.
The thought was not so alarming, though the faint quiver of desire—of need—behind it was.
Oh, dear, thought Sandry.

Oh, your last line is epic! I love the faint tension here and the calmness/sweetness/gentleness you give their dynamic!

Interesting pairing, and great work capturing a small moment! You're always very good at these drabbley things, I find. And like Tamari, I think there's a good mix of serenity and tension.

I never would have thought of this pairing, but somehow you have made it work.
