Title: Content Rating: G Word Count: 100 Summary/Warnings: Thayet and Jon share the early hours of the morning on the astronomy tower. No warnings. Notes: Inspired by the MPP Just before the dawn, #69.
--
“Hello, Jon,” the woman murmured, her voice like the low rumble of thunder rolling in from the mountains. It was crisp and cool, and the olive trees blew ever so slightly on the hill facing them.
“Hello, my dear,” the man said, his voice soft and respectful. His black hair was ruffled; his eyes were tired. Still, they looked pure and happy, and when he tucked a strand of hair behind the woman’s ear, his whole body joined in their contentment. “Thank you for coming.”
The woman curled up and lay her head on his shoulder. “You’re welcome.”

This captures the moment so beautifully! Those are the best drabbles IMO, the ones that can take something so insignificant and make it lovely.

I agree with mistrali - what I really like about this fic is that you've made a romantic scene out of something so small. Simply being with the person you love.
