Title: Let It Be Rating: PG13 Word Count: 147 Pairing: Alanna/Jonathan Round/Fight: 3A Summary: Time has passed.
Some planes of her skin are still smooth, as soft as they felt under his hands the first time they made love. Others are rough, pockmarked with scars. Arrowheads and blades and broken bones have pierced her skin. He does not have near so many, fighting from a throne.
After a moment, she stops his hand, brings it to her mouth and kisses the soft inside of his wrist. Her palms are calloused. The wet touch of her tongue makes him shiver, and when she looks up and meets his eyes, she smiles.
“There are so many things I could have done,” he says. “Don’t you ever wish—”
She silences him with a kiss, then another. He lets all thought pass, swept away in a tide of violet eyes and familiar touches. He has few regrets in this life, but Alanna is not one of them.

This says so much in so few words! I like "fighting from a throne" in particular.
