Summary: Uline wants another chance.
Uline was married to Kieran HaMinch. And that was fine. But strangely she had never gotten over the green-eyed boy, so graceful and worldly.
If she heard that he had called her luminescent, she would have rushed to a corner of the squire's wing and crashed into him. She would have raced up turrets with a two glasses of champagne; she would have struck through Balor's Needle and swung from the chandelier, just to get a dizzy look.
She wondered how much she had matured. Probably not much.
She had loved him so dearly when he was alone. But when he married a Yamani girl who match could his wit and make him quiet with rapture, she cried with jealousy.
The problem was how well-suited they were, and how painfully perfect that was. Maybe he had loved her on a flight, but she was just for whims.
Maybe she should have taken that Midwinter when they had the chance.
