Title: Apartment 7 Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 208 Pairing: Alanna/Jonathan Round/Fight: 1A Summary: Modern AU. Rated for language. An average morning for Alanna and her roommate, Jon Conte.
“What the heck is that noise?”
Grunting, Alanna swivelled around in her bar stool in time to watch as her roommate stepped out of his room, rumpled and annoyed. Bright blue eyes squinted at her briefly, as if she and her Cheesymite-covered toast were the source of such raucous.
“The kitchen in seven is being renovated,” she said, waving her piece of toast in the direction of their front door. “Starts today. Remember?”
The paper signs had been stuck all over their building for the past month. Astronomically large font on polka-dotted paper was hard to miss.
Jon looked at Alanna in confusion, before scratching his shoulder under the strap of his white Chesty Bonds. “Oh, I forgot.”
No doubt because he was far too busy admiring himself in every reflective surface within a ten metre radius. What an idiot.
“Sounds like they're trying to tear down the entire fourth floor. Why are Gwyn and Roxanne having it renovated anyway?”
Alanna threw him an odd look. “How would I know? You're the one who talks to them.”
“Yeah,” he said, running a hand through his hair in an attempt to tame it down. “But we don't discuss things like that.”
Alanna rolled her eyes. Of course they didn't.

...I can't get over the details in this! Alanna eats Cheesymite covered toast? Jon's morning behavior? I'll admit, I laughed. You write them domestically very well.

I love this! Alanna just seems like one of the guys. And I giggled at this:
The paper signs had been stuck all over their building for the past month. Astronomically large font on polka-dotted paper was hard to miss.
Jon looked at Alanna in confusion, before scratching his shoulder under the strap of his white Chesty Bonds. “Oh, I forgot.”
And I love Jon's comment at the end.
