Title: My regards.

Notes (and any Warnings): This may continue, but knowing Briar, he might be horrified by the excess of commas and remain sturdily silent.
Dear Briar,
A mere span of years ago, your literacy was questionable at best; I can't help but smile, writing to you now. I trust your sojourn in Namorn allows for correspondence, though I shall do my best to avoid anything that might meet the disdain of her highness's censors.
This letter comes with the tea and tisanes you requested in Wort Moon. I am sure Rosethorn has included her own scribbling, which shall, in nearly illegible hand, describe her wellbeing (unchanged), Lark's regard (warm), and her own affection for you (badly). I write this, in part, so you may experience letters from Winding Circle that are made up from more than dot-points. Also, it is uncommonly quiet, with not only yourself being absent, but Trisana away at Lightsbridge, probably doing a remarkably bad job at remaining incognito. Perhaps I ought to describe the young woman as "our mutual friend", or some such, but if Berenene dor Ocmore does not know the whereabouts of all four of you, I shall eat my habit.
I am curious, I admit, as to the length of your stay. I am sure the Empress considers you a fine addition to her gardens, as you have always had a distressing tendency towards the ornamental, but I cannot but remember certain conversations between us in the last months of your time in Emelan. Do not forget my offer, then, as I have certainly not forgotten your hopes. Still, I understand such things are difficult to pin down, and seem all the more shocking, once voiced, than they ever trapped inside one's head.
Be as well as you ever are.
My regards,
Crane.
