Title: Insecurities
Rating: G
Prompt: 3: Addiction
Summary: He was addicted to acceptance. He feared being left behind.

He follows Raoul to practice yards, to classrooms, to visit the prince. During swordplay, they are partners. At meals they sit side by side.

When he comes down with the sweating sickness, he panics. Who will care to see him, if he is not glued to Raoul's side? Who will bother to visit, if he is locked out of their sights? He fears that he will be forgotten, that he is loved only as an extension of Raoul.

Francis of Nond only knows to be Raoul's shy blond shadow.
He craves this, because otherwise he fears he might just disappear.
