Finally saw The Help. I thought it was really good. I ended up needing about 10 tissues though! Also really made me want to read To Kill A Mockingbird and Mildred D. Taylor's books again.

I was inspired by Rosie to also watch One for the Money. I thought it was pretty good, though I'd forgotten a lot from the book - like who her first case was! I think I'll have to do a re-read soon...

I just saw the Hunger games, but I haven't been to anything since, I think Arrietty. I really want to see the US version of it, since I only saw the UK version here in Australia.
I'm really looking forward to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Looks hysterical.

I watched Hesher last night (not gonna lie, I bought the dvd purely because JGL is in it) and I really liked it. I bawled like a baby at the end, but I'm still trying to figure out if that was because of the movie or just the mood I was in.

I just watched a...I guess one would call it a film. It did appear to have a beginning, middle and end, though I'd question the 'plot' aspect. And there were characters...including Bruce Willis wearing bunny slippers and alternating between crying & threatening to kill everyone.
I was scared, you guys.
The film was The Whole Ten Yards and I honstly don't know why I kept watching it. That's 2 hours of my life I can never get back and could have better spent sleeping. At least I had amusing conversations on Twitter to keep me entertained, since the film sure didn't!

I saw Mirror, Mirror - and they really got shafted on the adverts, because it's not much like the film! Thought it was a cute, enjoyable spin on the tale.

I liked Mirror, Mirror, but there was something about it that stopped me from loving it. I'm not sure what that was though.
On the other hand, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was brilliant,

I just saw Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. It was an incredibly beautiful heartwrencher, but had these wonderful moments of comedy that really made me really like it. I totally cried a ton, but it was kind of what I needed at the time.

I watched Easy A today instead of studying. I don't regret it. It was awesome. I laughed a lot. A+ quality easily (see what I did there? I'm so funny ).

We watched the second Sherlock Holmes movie last night. Still not as good as the BBC series with Benedict Cumberbatch, but an amusing way to pass an evening.

Maybe it would have been less traumatic if you'd seen that first? I've been rewatching a whole bunch of movies lately. Also, I watched Law-Abiding Citizen for the first time and really liked it.

Yeah, I think that would have helped! I ended up googling it pretty early on in the film and found out that it was a sequel, but both the IMDb and Wikipedia summaries for the first one were really confusing, so I still had no idea what was going on!

I saw Dark Shadows pretty recently. I enjoyed it enough, but wasn't much of a fan. There were some funny moments, but overall it was a little too out there for me.

My sister finally got me to watch Dead Poet's Society - basically by just putting it on when I was in the room! I got a bit cranky at her for not warning me about what happened, but she was nice and got me the tissues.

oooh, Australian musical that's actually good? Miracle! I really wasn't a fan of Bran Nu Dae so I was pretty reluctant to see The Sapphires.

I also just saw The Sapphires and really liked it. I liked Bran Nu Dae, but The Sapphires is better. Definitely worth seeing. It mixed the serious race and war issues beautifully with the humour.
I also re-watched Easy A on the weekend. Love that film so much! Can't believe I only saw it for the first time a couple of months ago.

I saw Looper, which was pretty impressive. Different to what I expected after seeing the trailer, but I think it's good that they didn't give the whole movie away.

I recently went to an anime film festival (Reel Anime), which was awesome! From Up On Poppy Hill (Studio Ghibli) and Wolf Children were my favourites, but Children Who Chase Lost Voices was also good (and had art almost as good as Ghibli!). I saw them all subtitled, which I loved - I can't believe I've wasted my time until now watching dubs!

I really want to see Looper!! This weekend, I need to see Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Recently rewatched Good Will Hunting because I did a monologue from it for drama club. Excellent film, as always.

I saw Lawless last night! After seeing the trailers I was pretty excited because the cast is awesome and I love me some action/violence/badassness, and the movie was soooo good.

Anna Kendrick is always fantastic!
I did see Perks of Being a Wallflower as well as Looper. Perks was very nicely done, but wasn't really anything new. It was almost like rereading the book. Looper wasn't as good as I expected, but I think that's because I'm not a fan of gritty violence and unsympathetic main characters.
