Title: Sleep Rating: PG Couple/Character: Lark Event: 100 Word Dash Words: 100 Summary: Lark goes to sleep.
Lark shook out her blanket. It was old, sturdy wool, and it was the only part of her old life that had survived past her first year in the sewers. It was wearing thin in places but the integrity of the weave held strong. She curled up partially on top or it partially in it. Ignoring the rats that scurried past her little home and the stench of the waste that drew them in, she closed her eyes. As she gave in to the exhaustion that plagued her day in and out, she escaped to dreams of cartwheels and somersaults.

Poor Lark - I like that she notices the weave of her blanket, even in a place like the sewers.

What Mandi said. It's perfect for Lark to have a textile item that survives unnaturally long when she's going through the rough times.

What a vivid little snapshot. It's sad that she comforts herself with dreams of her old life, and the blanket is a perfect symbol for Lark herself, too,
