Title: Touch Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 255 Pairing: Kel/Wyldon Summary : He doesn’t treat her like other men have. (warning: references to sex.)
His touches weren’t like other men. Cleon liked to kiss and cuddle. Faleron always placed his hand on my back as we walked, and seemed almost like he was trying to protect me. Never mind that I needed less protection than him, even.
Wyldon’s manner of touching was different. There was no slow, romantic brush of the back of his hand against my lips to wipe off juices from the strawberries we ate. There was no grasp of hands as we walked together, as a result of some strange surge of affection. He didn’t have a romantic bone in him. Everything was functional, practical. If his large, firm hands touched my hip, it was to pull my body closer to him. If his lips brushed my neck, it wasn’t a passing fancy that made him do so – he was fully engrossed in love-making.
But I wasn’t the kind of girl who was made for all practicality and no romance. I was searching for more in my life.
When I told him this, he didn’t grasp my wrist and plead for me to stay. He didn’t rest his forehead against mine, letting his dark, pained eyes bore into mine. He didn’t kiss me, hoping it would change my mind.
He simply rubbed his arm, staring out the window as he murmured something that sounded like “so be it.” At the end of things, he could not touch me in any manner that he knew would make me stay, so he did not touch me at all.

Oh, this is gorgeous, Lisa! I simply love the final line, and the comparison to her other boys.
