Title: Accelerando Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 143 Pairing: Jon/Zahir Round/Fight: 1/A Summary: Accelerando: A musical notation that indicates a gradual increase in tempo.
Jon feels it between them. A type of strange music. No, a beat, like the beat of hearts or souls as they coexist side by side and throb together as one. It’s always there, now. At every contact, whether a touch on the wrist or a brush of the shoulder, the beat quickens.
It doesn’t get louder. If it did, Jon swears that anyone would be able to hear it. No, it merely throbs to the pulse of his heart, to the rhythmic clutching hands that clasp the heart.
He wonders if Zahir feels it too, but how could he not?
No, he must hear the music of their hearts as they make love together.
And as their eyes meet once more, almost shyly, Jon knows this is true, that Zahir is in perfect accord, that his breath quickens as does his pulse.

Mmmphjgriojvaoijcmkl . . . gorgeous. I'm a sucker for anything relating love or attraction to music, and this hits that note (heh) perfectly. Why didn't I think of writing about musical terms? *headdesk* I'll have to steal this idea in the future. Wonderfully executed.
