Title: One Long Wait Rating: G Prompt: #20, Faith Summary: Irnai waits for Kel.
She sat on the peaked roof of a village home, solemn and oblivious to her surroundings. The wind, crisp even in April, whipped her dark curls into her face and chapped her lips and her hands.
“Irnai, get down from there!” somebody shouted up to her, “You could break your neck. What if somebody sees you?”
“Nobody will see me,” Irnai said simply.
“Well come down, anyway!”
“I can’t,” Irnai replied. “I’m waiting.”
Her adversary sighed. “Always waiting. Lass, nobody is coming. Not for any of us.”
“She will. You’ll see.” Irnai smiled. “She’ll come. The Protector of the Small.”

Wow - Faith isn't something I associate with Irnai, so this was an interesting way to put things in perspective.

There was such a kick behind the fluidity of the simple moment, and its clear statement. Wonderfully done
