Title: Garter Stitch Rating: G Word Count: 123 Pairing: Lark/ Rosethorn Fight: 2/B Summary: Lark knit’s a bag for Rosethorn.
Garter stitch is the most basic form of knitting. It is the first thing a knitter learns, but then it is something most people never do again for a whole project. Lark never really understood this. Sure it was easy and basic, but it created a texture that was all its own. Why exactly should this texture be loved any less because it was simple? Lark kept telling herself that as she did yet another row of straight knitting into the bag she was making. The time she used could be good for meditating, and the bag would be gorgeous in the end. At least she thought so, and she hoped that Rosethorn would think so too when she gave it to her.

Pretty sure I never got past the first simple stitch myself. :Þ I hope to someday. Now, if I had Lark for a teacher I'm sure I'd be much more effective... I love that she still appreciates a stitch despite its simplicity, and spends her time meditating with the simple action. I'm sure Rosie will adore the bag. (:
