Title: Home Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 132 Pairing: Lark/ Rosethorn Fight: 2/B Summary: Lark compares Rosethorn to her previous lovers.
The first time Lark ever followed another woman back to her room, she was nervous and scared. She knew she would never be with a man, and this woman was willing and as good a place as any to get her feet wet. Of course, the other woman was just looking for a night with someone beautiful and bendy, and Lark knew she’d be leaving the town in a few days. She never was in one place long enough for a serious relationship until she found herself living in the Mire, and by then, she just didn’t have the energy.
When Lark eventually brought Rosethorn back to her room, however, Lark was a different person. She was older and stronger, if a little less bendy, and she knew she was finally home.

She knew she would never be with a man, and this woman was willing and as good a place as any to get her feet wet. *Chuckles.* But I can understand her nerves, as well. Love how clear she is in knowing that it's a one-or-few-night(s)-stand. Beautiful and painful words about her switch into availability, but losing the energy.
She was older and stronger, if a little less bendy, and she knew she was finally home. Awwr. *Melts.*
